Community Supportive Living Systems
Services Offered
Our current primary focus is on the Emerald House. Once a CSLS’s hospice facility, Emerald House currently provides permanent supportive housing for men living with HIV/AIDS who are chronically ill and in need of continuous medical care. It is located in a converted and former sixteen-room convent.
Emerald House is located on the far south side of Chicago in the West Pullman area. Although Emerald House was developed as a housing resource for the South-side of Chicago, it accepts referrals citywide and from the near south-suburban areas. Emerald House is in its twenty-fourth (24th) year of operation. Through the advances and personal improvement made by many of Emerald House residents, the theory that housing is health has been proven over and over again.
